How to Make Decarbonization Trackable and Manageable?

How can we make this abstract and big goal of decarbonization of a business manageable? By breaking them down into smaller pieces and guiding the users every step of the way. We need to achieve that by providing transparent and easy-to-understand stages of decarbonization. Thirty3’s client had an idea of what Coratom should look and feel like. Thus they asked thirty3 to create a interactive prototype for potential investors of Coratom to try it out. The goal was not to create a fully functional MVP, but to generate a design to validate the idea.

Thus they asked thirty3 to create a interactive prototype for potential investors of Coratom to try it out. The goal was not to create a fully functional MVP, but to generate a design to validate the idea.

our approach

Workshops and Wireframes

thirty3’s researcher conducted a product discovery workshop with the client to define and refine the client needs. Thus we were able to generate proto-personas together. Next we did a design sprint with the client to produce some initial sketches. Due to the high work domain complexity of decarbonization, the client’s input was crucial at this stage. We went through how-might-we scenarios and generated affinity diagram of activity notes. Based on these sketches thirty3’s designer generated lo-fi wireframes, which were iterated upon several times before we moved on to hi-fi mockups. To save time and avoid unnecessary effort on that stage we used an existing white label design system to build the entire user interface of the Coratom product. We styled the components along the brand guidelines and created a two main user flows from sign up, through onboarding, having the user plan out their decarbonization plan and how to execute and track it.
